Jeon Soo-il Retrospective Tour Starts coming November 2009

Ciné-Asie has just acquired the North American distribution rights for South Korean director Jeon Soo-il’s fourth feature film, With a Girl of Black Soil. The film will screen in Montreal in November 2009 as part of a retrospective of Jeon’s work at the Cinémathéque Québecoise.

The entire retrospective will also be touring North America throughout the summer, with stops in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles. This is the first time that all of Jeon’s feature films will be shown together in North America. (more…)
